William F. "Bill" Sigman's Obituary
William F. “Bill” Sigman Bill went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2018 at the age of 76. He joins his parents, William “Bill” Sigman and Maurine Sigman in Heaven. He leaves his loving wife of 52 years, Sue Warner Sigman. He leaves cousins: Charles “Mac” and Diana Owen; Edward and Patricia Winburne; Michael and Faith Graff; Tom Graff; Mark and Wendy McAfee; Gene and Farissea Campbell. He also leaves dear friends: Byron Ledbetter and Dot Shelton. After attending East High School for several years, he transferred to Harding Academy where he graduated as President of the 1961 Senior Class. He was a Tiger even prior to attending the University of Memphis. Even in the hospital room, he kept asking us to tune into the Tiger game. After a long period of working for Southern Railway in Memphis,TN, Rome, GA, Orlando,FL and Hickory, NC, he opened Hobby Town USA in Memphis. With his love for trains and other boy toys, this was a perfect fit. He was an avid HO train collector. While he always loved his doggy fur babies that he was blessed with over the years, Brandy was the dearest to him. He did ask me to tell our newest, Katie, that he loved her. As an ordained deacon of Sweetwater Baptist Church, he was blessed to serve as a Sunday School and Training Union teacher to many wonderful young people.The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, December 11 and funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 12 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
