William Andrew "Bill" Moore's Obituary
William Andrew “Bill” Moore, 86, passed away unexpectedly January 4, 2017. He was born February 14, 1930 in Utica, NY. He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Missouri in the years after World War II. He was a mechanical engineer by education and retired as an executive from Wright Medical. He continued to be a very hard-working, business-oriented entrepreneur and an avid hunter and fisherman. Bill was a caring and selfless father, known for his dry sense of humor and sharp wit. He was very well loved by all who knew him. Bill is survived by his children, Camela Jordan (Charles) and Craig A. Moore, Sr.; sister, Marcia Brown; brother, Robert Moore; and grandchildren, Amanda Bennett, Stephanie Jordan, Madeline Jordan, and Craig A. Moore, Jr. He was preceded in death by his sister, Norine Chajka. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, January 10 and a memorial service will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 11 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
