William Francis “Bill” Kennedy, age 79, passed away October 10, 2018. He was born on May 31, 1939 in Buffalo, New York to Jean and William Kennedy.Bill served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired from IBM after 25 years of service. He served with and retired from the Germantown Police Department as a lieutenant.He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Kennedy; children, Sharon McNary (Steve) of Memphis, Dug Kennedy (Gina) of Maine, JoAnn Griesbach (Art) of Memphis, Bil Kennedy (Stefanie) of Atlanta, GA; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.At Bill’s request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to American Heart Association.
