His singular wit and his kind demeanor got me through the worst times of my life. He will always live in my heart! My fine friend and a friend to all. Peace and love to his family!

Bill Benson --- A remarkable, intelligent and admirable human being who made such an impact on so many; one of the kindest souls I've ever known; a heart of gold and a genuine care and compassion for anyone he knew; a sincere willingness to do all he could for someone in need; a passion for life like I've never seen; his wit and his charm was one of a kind; his smile and his laughter contagious to all; a truly good man and loyal friend that no one can hold a candle to! To know him was to love him! A loving man devoted to his family and their wellbeing, yet always made time to lend an ear or lend a hand if needed. I feel blessed and honored that I was able to share the time I was allowed with Bill. The memories I hold over 29 years will always be a treasure. I will miss him deeply every day. Heaven only knows why he was taken so soon, but it's all in God's plan. I find comfort and peace in knowing it's not "Goodbye" but rather "See ya later".
"It's not what you take when you leave this world behind you...it's what you leave behind you when you go." -- Song lyrics from "Three Wooden Crosses"

Melissa, I’m so, so sorry for your loss. My memories of Bill begin at your wedding and journey through the years as the quiet, nice guy at Fannie’s or at Anne’s. I’ll be praying that God will wrap you tightly in His comforting robe of grace and give you peace. Love y’all BIG!!

Bill.... I want to start of by saying it was a pleasure just to have known someone as caring as you!! Not only were you so kind your heart was Full. I worked many hours with you at Frayser wine & liquor as you taught me so much about life & responsibilities. You watched my boys grow up into young men. You helped me out so many times. I wished we never had to part from FRAYSER WINE & LIQUOR! I always hoped you would reopen & I’d be one of your employees again. I sent you a text every holiday even after the store closing. I sure wished you would have never gotten so sick. I know you are in such a better place. You didn’t just inspire me but thousands!!! We will miss you here on earth! Lots of love! MRS. MELISSA if there is anything I could do for you or the kiddos please do not hesitate to call. You have my number.. prayers & Love!
