Wilder Thomas Goodman's Obituary
Wilder Thomas Goodman, son of Ivy Goodman, was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 14th, 2023. He was placed in the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday, May 25th, 2024.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his adoring mother Ivy Goodman, aunts and uncles Jackson Goodman, Kate Goodman, Sam Goodman, and Louis Hendricks, grandparents Leigh Hendricks, Phillip Goodman, Dave Hendricks, and Becky Goodman, great-grandparents Marcella Lawrence, Richard Lawrence, Carolyn Schuster, Sam Schuster, and Leon Hendricks.
He was greeted in Heaven by his cousin Lily Butterick, grandfather Dr. Thomas Goodman, and grandmother, Carmen Hendricks.
Wilder was the brightest light in this dark world. At 16 months old he had made an extraordinary mark on everyone he met. Wilder was an observant, curious, and popular boy who never met a stranger. He was a city-wide traveler, thanks to his mom, whom he went everywhere and anywhere with. Due to this, he was so confident and friendly. Wilder loved going to restaurants, especially Mexican restaurants and was entertained by people-watching. He enjoyed his front porch swing, blowing bubbles, watching animals, and being around water. Wilder’s favorite movie was Turbo and he enjoyed reading, especially, Brown Bear Brown Bear. He never refused a sweet treat, but his favorite was chocolate donuts with Pappy. He enjoyed dancing and being sung to. Wilder brought immeasurable joy into our lives with his bright smile, silly personality, and sweet temper. His brief time with us was a tremendous blessing to be cherished forever.
Celebration of life arrangements are as follows: Visitation at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 5th from 5-7 p.m. The funeral will occur at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 6th at St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial immediately following the funeral at Memorial Park and reception to follow at St. Louis.
