I first met Alex when he was a toddler. It was obvious that he was a special child: intelligent, precocious and sociable. While my encounters with Alex were minimal during the ensuing years, I had news of Alex from his grandfather, Barry Ray, and knew that Alex would make his mark in the world. Although Alex is no longer with us, he has left his mark on those who knew and loved him. He lives on in our hearts and memories.
