Wanda Anne Lenoir's Obituary
Wanda Anne Lenoir, 76, of Germantown, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023 surrounded by her children.
Wanda was born to Warren A. Scott and Bessie B. Broadway on February 22, 1947. She was an incredible woman full of generosity with a smile that would light up any room. She loved serving her Lord and Savior through missions work both home and abroad. In addition to traveling, she enjoyed singing, teaching, shopping and lunches with friends and spending time with her family. Wanda also loved to cook and was famous for her chocolate chip cookies.
In December 1971, she committed her life to Christ. Since that time, her mission in life was to be a vessel to share God’s love and grace to those He placed in her life.
Wanda was graduate of Memphis Central High School where she was a cheerleader. She attended Memphis State University and was the co-founder of First Mercantile Trust Company which was later sold to a national bank.
An active member at Grace Evangelical Church, she served in the Women’s ministry, worked at Vacation Bible School and taught Sunday school. Wanda also made several mission trips to India, the Middle East and Central America.
Wanda’s pride and joy was her family. She leaves her children Bryan Scot Lenoir (Cindy); David Charles Lenoir (Shannon) and Rebekah Lenoir Proctor; her grandchildren – David Charles Lenoir II (Emily); Christian Bolton Lenoir; Megan Scot Lenoir; Ethan Proctor Lenoir; John Bryan Lenoir; Mitchell Todd Proctor; Olivia Kate Proctor; Elenoir Paige Proctor; and her great granddaughter – Lucy Kate Proctor. She loved her many nieces and nephews, and her brothers Warren (Bud) Scott (Jackie); and Thomas (Tommy) Scott (deceased) (Carol); and her half siblings Bill Lawing (deceased) (Iris); and Betty Lawing (deceased).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Neighborhood Christian Center or Life Choices.
