Wanda Bell Adams' Obituary
Wanda Bell Adams, age 83, of Collierville, TN, passed away peacefully on April 13,2026 at Olive Grove Terrace Senior Living with her loving children by her side.
Born on January 11,1943 in Fordyce, AR, Wanda was the fifth child of eleven born to Kermitt and Hazel Bell. Throughout her life she was known for her unwavering faith in God and her dedication and commitment to ministries she served. She was selfless and loved her large family unconditionally, and her own three children were a huge source of pride. Wanda adored her ten grandchildren, now ages 10 to 36, and enjoyed having fun with them through the years.
Wanda devoted many years to teaching and guiding young people in her roles as an English teacher and guidance counselor in four different states. Her impact on their lives is still felt by the many students she taught and counseled over a span of twenty plus years. Outside of work, Wanda could be found working in her yard, volunteering at church, hosting large family gatherings, and traveling wherever and whenever she was needed to help with her grandchildren. She will be remembered by her family and close friends as having tireless energy with a big servant’s heart!
Wanda is survived by her three children, Charles (Lauren) Adams Jr, Michele (Danny) Kennedy, Tiffany (Keith) Harris; grandchildren, Morgan (Luis) de Aguiar, Harrison (Lauren) Kennedy, Mimi Adams, Gracen (Will) Warren, Charles (Sarah) Adams III, Jackson (Bekah) Kennedy, Sadie Adams, Cooper Harris, Avery Harris, Brooks Harris; ten great grandchildren, Nora, Reese, Rui, Charley, Kennedy, Caroline, Betty, Whitt, Knox, and Kayce; siblings, John (Jackie) Bell, Sherlyn (Jim) Larrison, Helen (Bob) Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Charles Adams, her parents Kermitt and Hazel Bell, and her siblings Don Bell, Bob Bell, K.O. Bell Jr, Anita Stine, Earl Bell, Patty Pierini, and Hazel Bell.
Visitation will be held on Saturday April 25, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm and a Celebration of Life will be Sunday April 26, 2026, at 10:00 am. Both events will be held in the Riverside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
