Josephine Welch Franklin
Abundant in spirit and overflowing with glad tidings are those who shared time with Mr. Walter L. Williams, Sr. He never inquired how much of his time you needed. He just offered to help complete the tasks. He volunteered to prepare primary students for space activities. Our class (1-04/2-04) learned the exercises NASA's astronauts mastered as they prepared for space travel. Mr. Williams worked with every child, not just his own, When the students donned their personalized astronaut uniforms and performed at the Peabody Hotel-Memphis, they exemplified his willingness to complete a great job. "Big Walter" along with Mrs. Annie Williams supervised field trips in and outside of the city.
These amazing parents, along with their children and family, have blessed the lives of Mr. (James) and Mrs. (Josephine) Franklin by extending their family to include us. We are forever grateful for the family leadership of Mr. Walter L. Williams, Sr. We cherish the memories. Praise God for allowing us to share segments of our lifelines.
