Walter Wayne Jackson's Obituary
Walter Wayne Jackson was born April 12, 1938 in Dublin, Georgia and went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2015 in Memphis TN. Wayne was a retired business owner who also retired from the Military. He loved his family, his church, and all sports especially Georgia Football and Memphis football and basketball. He is survived by Nancy his wife of almost 55 years; life-partners who enjoyed life together; every day Nancy started the newspaper crossword puzzle and Wayne finished (corrected) it. He is also survived by his daughter T. Michelle Wamble (Michael) and his son Lt. Col. Jon S. Jackson; and grandchildren Lily Grace Wamble and Brady Jackson. Wayne was a Deacon of Covenant Baptist Church in Collierville and services will be held at the church on Friday, November 6, at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at West Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Covenant Baptist Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Woodland Presbyterian School.The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis TN 38119. “Honoring Lives Behind the Stone Wall.”
