Walter Pugh's Obituary
Walter H. Pugh, 96, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Holly Creek Retirement Community in Centennial Colorado. He was a World War II Navy veteran; serving his country in the Asia/Pacific. He was a resident of Memphis, Tenn. for 65 plus years and retired from the Kellogg Company Plant. He was preceded in death by his spouse of 66 years, Katye R. Pugh and his son, Walter H. Pugh, Jr. He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Groesbeck, Shelton, Conn., Beverly Smith (Sidney) of Centennial, Colo.; and three grandsons, Steve Smith (Debbie), Casey Smith (Laura), and Walter Smith all from Colorado. AND best of all five great grandchildren, Conner Smith, Natalie Smith, and Chloe Smith, as well as Hannah Smith and Noah Smith. The family will receive friends and family at visitation from 11-noon on Tuesday, November 16 at Read’s Chapel Methodist Church in Ras, Mississippi. Service at noon and burial afterwards at Read’s Chapel Cemetery. Services provided by Memorial Park Funeral Home in Memphis, Tenn. (901) 767-8930.
