Walter Huffman's Obituary
Walter Ernest Huffman, born on March 14, 1923 in Richlands, NC, passed away on October 3, 2014 at his home at the age of 91. He was lovingly cared for by his son, John Huffman and daughter-in-law, Chris Huffman. He was a WWII veteran and a member of Balmoral Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Alice H. Huffman, his loving son, Walter Lee Huffman. He is survived by; son, John C. Huffman and daughter-in-law, Chris; grandsons, Walter Lee Huffman, Thomas D. Isom IV, their wives, Nicole and Amber; 7 grandchildren, Alica, Cadarrin, Malik, Jayla, James, Izaiah, Gabrille and 2 great-grandchildren, Kyrianna and Cadarria. He also leaves one sister, Bernice Ritter (Boca Raton, FL), and sister-in-law, Margie H. Acree (Memphis). John and Chris are very Grateful of the Crossroads Hospice staff for all the wonderful care they provided for Mr. Huffman. Visitation will be Monday, October 6, 2014 from 12:30-1:30 and a graveside service to immediately follow at 1:30pm. All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to the Disabled Veterans or charity of donor’s choice.
