Vivian Sims' Obituary
Vivian Walker Sims, born June 14, 1927, passed away at St. Francis Hospital on January 14, 2011. Vivian was the daughter of E. J. Walker and Nellie Mae Wallace Walker of Memphis. Vivian attended Vollentine, Snowden, and Central High School and graduated from Christian College in Columbia, Missouri. She was a devoted wife and mother. Vivian and Joseph S. Sims were married 61 years on June 4, 2010. She was a member of the Monteagle Sunday School Assembly, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Brooks League, the University Club, and Idlewild Presbyterian Church. She loved her family, tennis, and travel. She is survived by her husband, Joe Sims and her two children Sherrie J. Sims of Memphis and her son, J. Walker Sims of Memphis and his wife, Amie and five grandchildren and one great grandchild. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
