Vivian Elenora Norris Rider's Obituary
Vivian Elenora Norris Rider, 94, formerly of Germantown, Tennessee passed away on May 14, 2021. She was born July 7, 1926 to Herbert Hilliard Norris and Gertrude Lowery.
Mrs. Rider is survived by her daughters, Belinda Watters (Robert) and Nita McVoy (Carl); grandsons, Bryan Roper (Casey) and Brad Compton (Cary); five great-grandchildren, Brandon Roper, Natalie Roper, Caleb Compton, Kinleigh Compton, and Kyleigh Compton; and a sister, Penny Stringer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman M. Rider; a brother, Othella Norris; and sisters, Margaret Atwood, Wanda Williamson, Betty Liles, and Shirley Powell.
Mrs. Rider worked at South Central Bell from 1947-1985 where she retired.
A graveside ceremony will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:30 pm on Friday, May 21, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Vivian’s memory be placed with the Alzheimer’s Association.
