Vivian Nolen Kelsey's Obituary
Vivian Scharlene Nolen Kelsey, 85, born in Paragould Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on June 20, 2013, surrounded by loved ones and friends.Vivian, a loving wife and mother, was always available and willing to help anyone that was in need. A caregiver at heart, she was employed and retired from the Ave Maria Nursing Home in Bartlett Tennessee. Vivian was a member of St Ann’s Catholic Church for many years and she cherished the time she could spend with her family and friends. Members from the Bunko club always had a special place in her heart. She appreciated and had her own good sense of humor and will be missed by many family and friends.Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, George Ernest and Bessie May McConnaughhay; her husband, Ernest Nolen, Jr; three brothers, George, Jarvis (Mac) and Theodore (Teddy) McConnaughhay; three sisters, Zelpha Garner, Albertine Little and Ernestine Walker; and one great-grandchild, Kyle Nolen. She is survived by four sons, Gary, Clay, Kirk and Kent Nolen; four grandchildren, Lisa Nolen Lovell, Michael Nolen, Mitchell Nolen and James Nolen; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.Visitation will take place at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee, 38119 on 27 June 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be a graveside service on 28 June 2013 at 10:30 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis Tennessee.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement @ http://www.atonementfriars.org/ or to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, (901)767-8930, “Behind the Stone Wall”.
