Vivian S. Chambers' Obituary
Vivian Chambers passed away in Memphis, Tennessee on the morning of March 10, 2019 at the age of 87.She is preceded in death by her devoted husband William David Chambers, Jr. and parents Peter and Gladys Solari, as well as her beloved Aunt Vivian Antonelli. First and foremost a mother and grandmother, who dedicated her life to caring for her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her 4 sons and 2 cherished daughters-in-law, John, Ron (Karen), Paul, and Mark (Mahi). Nana is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Grandson Justin was her pride and joy with whom she shared a special bond.Vivian was born in Clanton, Alabama and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Memphis. She was a woman of great faith. The Chambers were an original founding family of St. Louis Catholic Church. Her occupations, in addition to homemaker, included Goldsmith’s Department Store for 25 years and the St. Louis Church Office. Vivian always was more worried about those around her than herself. Whether working or raising her family, she always made time to give back to the community by being a perpetual room mother, Eucharistic Minister to the Sick, and as a volunteer for RCIA, St. Angela Ministry, and St. Francis Hospital. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, reading mystery books, and watching college sports. She displayed indescribable toughness in dealing with a multitude of ailments over the last few years. Special thanks to all those who have visited, corresponded with, and kept Vivian in your thoughts and prayers.The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday March 12th from 9:00am until the time of Mass at 10:00am at St. Louis Catholic Church, 203 S. White Station, Memphis, TN. The burial will immediately follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at Memorial Park in the Parkside Event Center.
