Vivian Castellaw's Obituary
Vivian Deloris Dowdy Wilson Castellaw, 88, of Memphis, TN passed away peacefully on November 13, 2023.
Deloris was born December 5, 1934 in Cash, AR to John Fletcher Dowdy and Myrl Mae Sackett Dowdy. Deloris attended Swifton High School. She was a dedicated LPN with a career that she remained active in for 50+ years. She loved to travel with her husband Jim and made many trips to Hawaii and Arizona. They raised three poodles together which they dearly cherished during their almost 32 years of marriage.
Deloris was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Castellaw; her parents, John Fletcher Dowdy and Myrl Mae Dowdy; her brothers, Dellino, Harry and Jack Dowdy; her sister, Virginia LaRose White; her daughter, Sheila Wilson Pease; her granddaughter, Shawn Pease Nicholson; her grandson, Matthew Franklin.
Deloris is survived by daughters, Lynn Martin (Gerald) of Boiling Springs, SC; Sharron Thomas (Bobby) of Byhalia, MS; Leann Franklin (Ed) of Big Water, UT; a son, Steve Wilson (Barbara) of Lehigh Acres, FL; grandmother of 12; great grandmother of 32; great-great grandmother of 3.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 16, 2023 beginning at 10:00am with service time at 11:00am at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family is requesting that donations be made to the Memphis Animal Shelter in lieu of flowers.
