Vito Romeo's Obituary
Vito Anthony Romeo, 92, passed away September 10, 2016. He was born January 20, 1924 in Duquoin, IL. He was a longtime and devoted member of St. Louis Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a liquor salesman with Robilio’s Distributors. He was a huge Memphis Tigers fan and was also generous with his time to help others. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Romeo; sons, John Romeo (June), Robert Romeo (Shelley), and Richard; grandchildren, John Anthony, Jeff, Laura, Whitney, Bradley, Matthew, and Kathryn; and great-grandchildren, Tahlia, Christian, and Gavin. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 15 and funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, September 16 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Celebrating Life Behind the Stone Wall”.
