Virginia Wimberly's Obituary
Virginia Ann Wimberly, 59, passed away February 21, 2015. She was born January 19, 1956. She loved music and enjoyed singing. She graduated from Melrose High School. She was Medical Technologist for Delta Medical Center for over 20 years. She devoted much of her time to Buddhist activities as an active member of Soka Gakkai International for over 30 years. She is survived by her three daughters, Rikita Wimberly, Tameka Wimberly, and Tonie Smith-Chenault (Stephen); and two grandchildren, Alberto Smith and Ashlynn Wimberly. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 28 at SGI Buddhist Center, 6106 Macon Road, Memphis, TN 38134. A reception celebrating her life will follow at 1 p.m., Saturday at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
