Virginia Pentecost's Obituary
Virginia Estelle Fly Pentecost, 90, passed away March 7, 2012. Mrs. Pentecost was a long-time Sunday School teacher, and she was also the publisher of the company newsletter for Power and Telephone Supply Company, Inc. She was a silent but influential voice in the company board room. She was also the author of her autobiography, “Housing Our Home.” Mrs. Pentecost was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James M. Pentecost and her daughter, Teresa Thomas. She is survived by her children, Don Pentecost, Mary Bowen, Martha Pitts, and Jim Pentecost; sister, Martha Fly Brooks; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., Sunday, March 11 at Germantown Baptist Church.
