Virginia Sue Johnston's Obituary
On Wednesday, December 2, 2020, Virginia Sue Johnston passed away peacefully at the age of 94. She was born in Kansas City, MO on April 1, 1926 to Oscar and Besse Stott. Sue attended William Jewell College before marrying Fredrick William Johnston. In 1955, they welcomed their only son, Jeffery William Johnston.
She was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church, enjoyed traveling, attending reunions, and had a passion for knitting. Everyone who came into contact with her, immediately knew how gracious, kind and loving she was. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Sue is survived by 3 grandchildren; Keith (Christy) Johnston, Chris McLelland, Jessica (James) Dvorscak and 6 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, her son, and his wife, Janice Johnston. A service will be held in New York in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
She loved this life that allowed her to travel through and live in so many beautiful and interesting places.
