Virginia A. “Ginny” Young, 91 of Memphis, TN, passed away on June 6, 2022 in her home after a short illness.
Ginny was born on July 12, 1930 in Jackson, TN to Benjamin McCombs and Lena Gray McCombs.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ray Young, sons, Stephen (Sandy) Young, Stan (Sylvia) Young, Scott (Beth Ami) Young, Spence (Missy) Young, Walter (Sherry) Brock, grandchildren, Stan Young, II, Sean (Andrea) Young, Spencer Ray (Amanda) Young, Seth Young, Scotty Young, 4 great-grandchildren.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lena Gray McCombs, siblings, George McCombs, Horace McCombs, Leo McCombs, Kathy Graham and Mildred Winsette
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. all in the Riverside Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN, 38119. Interment to follow at Memorial Park-Southwoods, 5485 Hacks Cross Road, Memphis, TN, 38125.
