Virgil Dalton Nichols' Obituary
Virgil Dalton Nichols died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 after a long illness in Memphis, TN. Mr. Nichols was born March 3, 1925 in Fruitvale, Tennessee.He was a WW II Naval Veteran and retired from Madison Cadillac. He was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. He will be remembered as an avid bowler, woodworker, and Atlanta Braves fan.He was preceded in death by his only daughter, Rose Marie Cromwell, a step granddaughter, Cyndie Bush, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Rose Tritt Nichols, two sons, Dan Nichols and wife Brenda of Jackson, TN, and Lynn Nichols and wife Donna of Memphis, one brother, Arthur Nichols of Memphis, six grandchildren, Anna Liebert of Memphis, Indiana, Beth Nichols, Blake Nichols, Brooke Nichols, and John Cromwell all of Bartlett, three great grand children, Sydney, Taylor, and Garrison.A visitation will be held from 5 to 8pm, Thursday, April 9, 2009. Funeral services will be Friday, April 10, 2009 at 10:00 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home in the Riverside Chapel.
