Victor Robert Fullman's Obituary
Victor Robert Fullman died peacefully on Monday February 27th surrounded by family. He was born in Pittsburgh on December 7th, 1919 but spent his youth in Latrobe, PA where his father founded an electrical manufacturing company. As a teenager he taught himself oil painting, and hiked the countryside in the foothills of the Alleghenys making landscape paintings. He studied art at the Cleveland Art Institute and at Carnegie Mellon University. During WWII he served at the Second Army Headquarters in Memphis where he met his future spouse, Peggy, at a Catholic Club dance. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage and had two children. Victor designed stained glass windows, including those at St. Boniface Church in Pittsburgh. He also designed the chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Germantown. He worked for Sears Roebuck & Co. in midtown Memphis for over 25 years in catalog sales and marketing. Victor applied his talents into designing and creating a beautiful home that his family enjoyed for over 50 years. He was a sweet man who loved to make people laugh and smile and he will be missed. Victor was preceded in death by his son, Victor R. Fullman, Jr. He leaves his spouse, Margaret Franklin Fullman, and daughter, Ellen Margaret Fullman. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery-Memphis.
