Verna Price's Obituary
VERNA S. PRICE, 88, of Memphis, died February 14, 2011. She was born July 9, 1922 to Martin Luther and Minnie Smith. She was a 1940 graduate of Messick School and was a long time employee of a local landscape contracting firm as a landscape artist. She was a member of Woodland United Presbyterian Church for over 40 years and participated in many church activities. She was a loving and devoted mother and is survived by a son, Fred. G. Price, Jr.; a daughter, Patricia Ann Dreve, and seven grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to Woodland United Presbyterian Church or charity of donor’s choice. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 17 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Woodland United Presbyterian Church, 5217 Park Ave., followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
