Here is the Vera that I knew: She was loyal and expected others to be. She was responsible for herself and on many occasions made herself responsible for others. She did not often say she was wrong, but atoned in huge ways to make up for her mistake with you. There was probably no one in her family that she didn’t help now and then in untold ways. We’ll never know everything she did for us. She was vulnerable but seldom showed it. She was on your side and in your corner when you were not even aware. She would fight demons for you. And win. She faced troubles and hard times that most of us don’t even imagine. She is with God. No one outside her family really knew her. She was my big sister.Pat Barclift
