Thomas Lawrence Geiger
She was my Aunt Vera who was so loving and supportive of her late husband, {my Uncle} Clifford Vanderford who had served with the 6th Marines in the furious, brutal battle for Okinawa. In the same way, she was there for him as he served in the Fire Department ambulance service. In my phone calls over the years she greeted me like I was sitting next to her and she always remembered my mother (her sister in law) Carrie Vanderford Geiger who passed away in 1957, at age 45. Aunt Vera's sweet, dear heart blessed all her loved ones near and far. Her spirit holds us now as then.
