I would like to share my memory of Vanessa. We both worked at St.Jude at the same time. I remember receiving her mail and they thought the mail belong to me. We share the same name. I never knew Vanessa personally but, I always thought about her. We both had breast cancer at the same time in 2016. We both were cancer-free for 8 years. We both had the same doctor as well. Our name would cross at the doctor that’s how I knew she went there. I wanted to know if she was doing well. Because my breast cancer came back in 2024. I decided to look up Vanessa and I saw her obituary and I cried my eyes out. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I started praying for her family. I wanted to share my memories of a very special woman that change her patients life and she change my life as well. Vanessa will be miss dearly.

I have not seen Venessa in since I left St. Jude in 2012. The news of her passing breaks my heart. Vanessa was so kind and had the most loving soul and I know she touched so many lives. She was one of very few people who was always kind to me and I will never forget that. She was something special. I pray for her family and friends, especially her husband and son. May peace be with them and God rest her sweet soul.
