Ulyess Stevens' Obituary
Texas, Donna – ULYESS DAVID “Steve” STEVENS, 86, formerly of Memphis, TN, passed away on May 28, 2012. He was born on June 9, 1925 and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Norma Stevens, his parents, Audrey and Albert Stevens, his daughter, Donna Kay Robertson and his sister, Christine Swan. He is survived by his sons, David Stevens of Olive Branch, MS and Al Stevens of Memphis, TN; his daughter, Mary Ann Daughdrill of Grand Bay, AL; his stepson, William Ray of Eva, TN, and his sister, Bobbie Kelley of Brentwood, TN; 12 grand-children, 18 great-grand-children and three great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Stevens served in the Navy during World War II and retired in 1983 after 36 years as a systems technician with Southern Bell Telephone Co. Mr. Stevens never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar in Memphis on Monday, June 4 at 10:30 a.m. for viewing and 11:30 a.m. for funeral service. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
