Troy Leland Farrow's Obituary
Troy Leland Farrow, 77, passed away on April 20, 2015, after several years of poor health. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 21 and funeral services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 22 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. He was born March 28, 1938 in Ripley, MS. He was married for over 52 years to Karon Essary Farrow. It was love at first sight and it lasted a lifetime. Troy also leaves his son, Jim Farrow; daughter, Deanna Farrow Phillips (Drew); and grandchild, Braden Mayall-Farrow. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for 7 years. Troy taught math to generations of young people. He taught at all levels from junior high through junior college, including 30 years with the Memphis City Schools. In his final years, Troy enjoyed gardening at his home where he planted many of his favorites, including irises, peonies, jonquils and, lilies.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
