Trang Kim Thẩm, age 70, of Nha Trang, Vietnam, was called home to the Lord on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at 3:00 PM in Memphis, TN.
Born on December 16, 1955, in Huế, Vietnam, Trang lived a life rooted in her Catholic faith. Her faith shaped how she loved.
Trang was a beloved sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family.
She cherished the time spent with her husband, daughter, and son-in-law, treasuring the memories they shared together. She expressed her love through her quiet kindness and soft smile.
She is survived by her loving husband, Nguyện Chí Đặng; her daughter, Lucy Như Nguyện Đặng Gaffney, and her husband, Michael Alexander Gaffney; and her granddaughter, Eliza Liên Marie Gaffney.
Visitation for Trang will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, located at 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119. A Wake Service will begin at 5:30 PM and will be held in Vietnamese.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1324 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104. The Mass will be celebrated in Vietnamese. Immediately following the service, interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery, 7500 East Holmes Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
