Shirley Hubanks went all through school with Tommy ending with Humes High. The Hubanks and Young families were good friends- both parents and children. Her memory is fading quickly but she comes to the library daily to check the Memphis papger especially the obituaries and was distraught to find Tommy’s obituary. I am a librarian that helps her.

Shirley Hubanks wanted me to write the family on this page about her fond memories of Tommy and his father. She is not able to attend the funeral but is very upset by his passing. She lives in Tupelo now and doesn’t drive toward Memphis anymore. Her Humes High days are cherished.
