Tina Ortega Smith died Thursday, September 29, 2016. Tina was born on August 24, 1961. She spent her childhood years in the Fox Meadows area of Memphis and was a graduate of Woodale High School. She continued her education and became an LPN in 1985. She ended her 30 year career at Sutherland Cardiology. Tina was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Curlin Ortega. She is survived by her husband, Alan Smith, her sons, Joshua Wray and Geoff Smith, her daughter Allison Maldonado (Miguel), her beloved her grandchildren, Layla and Grayson Wray, and her father, Alex Ortega, her sister, Tyanne Davenport. Though she was only here on earth for 55 years, she made sure she lived her life to the fullest. Tina loved family, music, traveling, and cooking. She was often able to combine all of these loves on our many Curlin Girls trips to Hot Springs. Tina did not always have an easy life, but you would never know by her positive attitude and generous heart. She was hard working and mentally tough. We all loved to hear her infectious laugh, loved hearing her harmonize, and loved to watch her dance. She will forever be missed but always remembered. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3 from 6:00-8:00PM. The memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 4 at 1:00PM. All services will be held at Memorial Park.
