Wow..Did not know he passed. Next to my father, he was the most influential figure of my teenage years. So sad he is gone. I’ll never ever ever forget History of American Wars and the Trojan Dog!!! Great times great memories. So glad he was a part of my life.
My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Sumner and the entire Sumner family. I can’t express how important Dr. Sumner was in my maturation as a baseball player, and most importantly, as a young man. Without the life-lessons that I learned from him, I wouldn’t be half the person that I am today. I plan on dedicating my senior season to Dr. Sumner and the whole Sumner family. May Dr. Tim rest in peace and shine down on the thousands of people that he made an impact on.
I would like to extend my thoughts and prayers to all the members of the Sumner family. Tim was one of the nicest, most caring, and thoughtful individuals that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. My son Max took lessons from Tim for many years. Although Tim taught my son how to play baseball, the life lessons he would impart on my son were far more important. Tim always stressed the important things in life, the little things that matter most. I would look forward to attending my sons hitting lessons just so that I could listen to Tim’s wonderful advice on all things. I will greatly miss my good friend Tim. Rest In Peace Dr Sumner
My condolences and prayers to the Summer family. I will always remember Tim as Coach not just in sports but as in life. He instilled in us there is no I in team. That lesson has lead us all to serve to nation, family, and community. He will be missed. Rest in peace Coach.

A wonderful teacher. He was one of my favorites at Eastbrook. His dedication to coaching and young people was greatly admired by many. He will be greatly missed.
