Lt. Col. Timothy E. Hoehn's Obituary
Lt. Col. Timothy E. Hoehn, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born on November 17, 1960, in Memphis, Tennessee. Timothy was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Marie Hoehn; his parents, Diana Fisackerly and Thomas Hoehn; his stepfather, Kelly Fisackerly; and siblings, Tommy Hoehn and Debbie Walters.
Timothy leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his sister, Linda Hoehn Water and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Timothy graduated from Christian Brothers High School and attended the University of Tennessee, where he majored in Political Science. He bravely served in the United States Marine Corps, where he served with honor and dedication in the Gulf War and the War on Terrorism. Timothy had a distinguished military career and received multiple awards and commendations including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and the Bronze Star Medal.
After retiring from active duty, Lt. Col. Hoehn continued to inspire the next generation as a JROTC instructor at Gulfport High School, a position that brought him great joy. His stern but kind approach endeared him to his cadets, with whom he shared his extensive knowledge of history and the military. In his spare time, Timothy was a passionate football fan and remained loyal to his home state as an avid Tennessee Vols fan. Throughout his life, he loved fishing and had a talent for woodworking. Tim and Marie were big dog lovers and cared for many fur babies during their marriage. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Lt. Col. Hoehn will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee at a graveside service with Full Military Honors on July 27, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Memories and condolences may be expressed at www.AudubonFuneralHome.com
