Tim attended Chaminade College Prep. in St. Louis, Mo from 1960 to 1964 and graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in Poplar Bluff, MO in 1965. He continued his education at Christian Brothers College in Memphis, TN in 1966, University of Missouri in St. Louis, MO in 1967 and graduated from Memphis State University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. Mr. Corrigan taught United States History in the Memphis Parochial School System from 1971-1978. He pursued a professional playing career in central Florida but suffered multiple back injuries that hampered his ability to play long schedules. He entered the PGA of America and spent thirty-five years in the golf industry, where he became a PGA Master Professional. Mr. Corrigan also served as a professional at Westwood Hills Country Club, Holiday Golf Club, Windyke Country Club, and was Director of Golf Operations for the Arnold Palmer Golf Company where he presented seminars on golf operations and merchandising to dozens of PGA Section meetings. He was honored countless times in the West Tennessee PGA Chapter for his work; was a five-time winner of the Horton Smith Award for Education in the Tennessee PGA, also a five-time winner for Merchandiser of the Year in the Tennessee PGA. He was also a three-time runner-up for the national award in these categories. In 1995, he was named Golf Professional of the Year in the Tennessee PGA. He was one of only a few PGA members to be nationally certified in Golf Merchandising. Mr. Corrigan became a source of help and information on golf operations to his fellow PGA professionals across the nation. Mr. Corrigan was a member and regular attendee of St. Louis Catholic Church and volunteered for many years at the St. Jude Golf Classic – in later years serving as the public address announcer on the 18th hole. He always remembered his roots in the game of golf and how it helped to form a basis for a good life – honesty, integrity, and dedication to those around you; no referees needed. He was always available to help junior golfers and young professionals in their career. He was a supporter of the VFW, Paralyzed Veterans of American, the USO, and the Wounded Warrior Project. Mr. Corrigan was a dedicated supporter to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. He was married to his dear wife, Pat for 40 years as so appreciative of being able to have her near him at work and at home for so long. He wanted to be remembered as a good husband, father and grandfather who always tried his best to help people. Besides his lifelong love of the game of golf, he enjoyed fly-fishing and loved Memphis Tiger football and basketball, Notre Dame football and St. Louis Cardinal baseball. To all the nurses (Angles of Mercy), staff and volunteers at the Baptist Reynolds Hospice House and all the staff at the Good Grief Center, our very special Thank You for your guidance and support through our time of need.
