He is predeceased by his siblings, Alice Bell Wilder, John Martin Tosh and Robert Harlin Tosh, and his stepson, Jay Wallace. He served as a medic with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Southwestern at Memphis where he was captain of the football team, president of his fraternity SAE, played basketball, ran track, was a member of ODK, and President of the Junior Class. He retired from Union Planters Bank as a commercial loan officer. He leaves his wife, Blanche Pope Tosh; daughter, Erin F. Tosh; stepson, Bruce Pope Wallace; granddaughter, Lena Wallace; and many loving friends. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., on Friday, April 17 at Second Presbyterian Church. Burial in Memphis National Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Second Presbyterian Mission fund or the charity of your choice.
