Thomas Teddy's Obituary
AGMC Thomas M Teddy, USNR, RETIRED
July 2, 1940 - October 23, 2024
Our dearly loved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
He lived a great life and was loved by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Thomas "Tom" Teddy joined the US Navy in June 1958 where he attended Aerographer's Mate School where the family would come to affectionately call him a weather guesser. From there he went to Memphis, TN, where he met the love of his life, Rose Marie Belote.
Tom spent a total of 42 years both on active duty and reservist time. He retired as AGMC (Master Chief) at the Stennis Space Center in June 2000.
Tom was a hard worker, but on his time off, he loved to play golf. He loved to show his family and the children of our town how to play golf by volunteering in the First Tee program.
Tom and Rose Marie married on August 12, 1961, in Memphis, TN, where they went on to raise 4 wonderful children: Thomas, David, Robert, and Bonnie.
Rose Marie surpassed him in death on January 21, 2021.
He is survived by his 4 children: Thomas S Teddy (Patricia), David T Teddy (Yvonne), Robert N Teddy (Colleen), and Bonnie T Mason (Daniel).
