Thomas Tackett's Obituary
Thomas Garland Tackett, Jr., finished his earthly journey to be Home with his Lord and Savior. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Sue Gail; daughter, Susan Allen and son, Garland Tackett; six adored grandchildren: Allison, Abigail, Stephanie, Brady, Max and Steven; three great grands; and his brother, Jim. His love for God developed him into a man of honor, integrity, strong character, diligence and outstanding loyalty and faith. His leadership was evident in his home life, work ethic, and service to God. He leaves a legacy of peacemaker, provider, humble and selfless servant, and generosity. His friendships were many, long and true. He stayed the course. The victory is won. Among his favorite things were family, Colorado, having Tackett Tank with his son, and cheering the Razorbacks with great enthusiasm. Though we grieve, it is not without hope.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 20th at First Evangelical Church at 735 Ridge Lake Boulevard in Memphis.
