My Dear Brother, Tom was finally “Laid To Rest” beside his beloved wife Mary Jo. ❤️ He will be greatly missed ! 🙏🙏🙏
I’m not sure where to start. My name is Penny Pinner Simpson. I am the only child of my daddy. Tom. He was one of a kind. So smart so intelligent, handsome, sharp dresser, beautiful perfect positioned hair, looked like James Dean His arms were strong. He comforted me and made me feel safe. We were both Aquarius. We celebrated the whole month of February. He was a Kansas City Chiefs fan. We watched the Super Bowl together for the last three years. He was a happy man always smiling. Daddy never said a crossword to anyone, but he may have thought it. He would give you the shirt off his back. We laughed, we cried, we made up crazy songs, we watched old movies we we’re best friends! I would dress up dance and it would tickle him so much he would cry. He loved to eat, he loved my cooking and our favorite restaurant was Nagasaki we would always eat with Harold.
I am humbly blessed that God put me here with my father for the last four years, and I wouldn’t change a thing? However., the last six months he took a decline. He began suffering and struggling for words and taking in oxygen. For about the last four weeks, he asked Penny are you gonna be OK? I assured him I was gonna be OK. He asked me where are your friend's I brought my friends to his bedside. He said, are you gonna take care of my babygirl? All my friends assured him, I would be respectfully taking care of. Two Sundays before his passing he begin transitioning over. I never left his bedside for 2938 days two hours and 10 minutes. He slipped off into a coma I would whisper comforting words I gave permission for him to go meet his mama, my mama I assured I would meet him soon. I put my lips on his lips, and he would attempt to kiss me back thank you heavenly father for not allowing my daddy to suffer another day he’s healed. He’s perfect and he is in a much better place.
I have thousands of memories of my Dear Brother Tom. He was sweet, smart and good looking! He will be truly missed! Love Always Baby Sister Mary Ellen
