Thomas G. Hogan's Obituary
Thomas Gerald Hogan, Sr. of Kirby Pines Estates, passed away June 17th, 2013 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. He was born in Wilson AR, November 23, 1933 to Charles Pearson Hogan, Sr. and Lucendy Marrow Hogan. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Margaret “Peggy” Hogan, his son Thomas G. Hogan, Jr. of Southaven MS, daughter Debrah J. Flanagan of Clinton KY; his two granddaughters, the loves of his life, Finley B. Flanagan and Kaylin T. Hogan. He was preceded in death by his grandson Justin Thomas Fullman, a brother Jason Hogan and three sisters, Charlene Granoski, Nadine Cozart and Anita Jett. He is survived by his brother Charles P. Hogan and wife Ruth of Bartlett TN. Tom served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Professionally, he was honored with awards such as the Salesman of the Year/Presidents Cup Award and Presidents Trophy. He is a 32nd Degree Mason-Scottish Rite for 50 years. Tom’s past employments include 25 years Sealtest Foods, 25 Years Fleming Foods formally Malone & Hyde and eight years with Shelby County Schools. He was a member at Germantown Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 20, from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m., at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make-a-Wish Foundation or Kirby Pine Foundation Fund.
