Thomas Eural Dickerson's Obituary
Thomas Eural Dickerson, aka Papa or Junior by family members, passed away at the age of 88 at his home in Memphis, Tn. with his daughter Lola Jean and granddaughter Keri by his side. He survived a stroke in 2017 but lost to lung cancer after only being ill for a few months. He served 2 years in the United States Army during the Korean War, retired after 28 years from the Department of Army Corps of Engineers, and was a long time member of the Honorable Order of the Kentucky Colonels and the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Tennessee. Mr. Dickerson was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Johnson and daughter Deborah Douglas. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Dickerson, of 67 years; daughters Lola Jean Dickerson and her husband Paul Adcock Jr. and Susan Hamm; granddaughter Keri Dickerson and her husband Benjamin Moody; grandsons Christopher Magliolo and his wife Sofia, Nicholas Douglas and his girlfriend Scottea Lamberth, Justin Hamm and Jerome Hamm; great grandsons Austin Dickerson-Moody and Aaron Dickerson; great granddaughter Frankie Magliolo; son-in-law Troy Douglas (husband of Deborah). Mr. Dickerson was a loving husband and enjoyed being with his family. He stayed active working on cars, the house and yard until his stroke. His favorite things to do were working crossword puzzles, playing billiards and watching the news and western shows.
