To the family of Thomas Mitchell Billingsley,
I read his obituary this morning, and though we don’t know each other, I wanted to extend my sympathy and prayers. He is such a witness to the dignity of human life and the gift of suffering. Thank you for loving him to the end and sacrificing so much for him, just as Jesus did for us. What an example of perfect love you are to the rest of us. I will pray for you as you carry the hardest cross: a parent loving a child who is present with the Lord. May his memory be eternal, and may Christ’s abiding peace be yours.
