I could spend hours telling you about special times I spent wih Tom Batchelor . Sometimes when we think of memorable times we have spent with Christian friends, we have the tendency to artificially separate them into secular and spiritual. That was never the case with your Tom. Every FUN fishing trip, every lunch, every telephone call, every MTM MEETING, every visit at my clinic, every Union Mission outreach, was ALWAYS SPIRITUAL. We would discuss scripture with every facet of our relationship. Sometimes when we had an all night fishing trip at Sardis, we would discuss one verse of scripture for hours ( between him catching more bass than me )I am indeed a blessed man for God’s gift to me by letting my life intersect with Tom Batchelor.Tom was my friend, mentor, tutor, confidant, accountability partner, prayer partner, father figure and business advisor.
