Theresa Lynne Almon's Obituary
Cordova – Theresa Lynne Almon of Cordova, passed away peacefully at Methodist Hospital Germantown on August 9, 2022.
Theresa was born January 19, 1957, in Memphis, Tennessee. The daughter of Norris and Theresa (Zoccola) Almon. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1975. The family, along with her friends, has lost a genuinely kind and innocent human being. Theresa was adept at all forms of art. However, her greatest passion was being “Granny Lynne” to Nataline (Kardoush) Oelkers, her daughters Ava and Elle; Christine (Kardoush) Lykidis and daughters Sofia and Nina; Charles Kardoush and family Carlen and Alena; as well as Michael Kardoush and children Isabella, Thomas, and Gigi. Theresa was also a devoted Aunt to her niece Stephanie (Almon) Harris.
In 1976 with the opening of Methodist Hospital North, Theresa became one of the first employees and remained for 36 years. During that time, she developed from an EKG technician to a telemetry monitoring specialist and finally a scheduler for both in and outpatient procedures.
Those who will miss Theresa the most are her brother and sister-in-law, John and Jane (Burkhart) Almon, her niece Stephanie (Almon) Harris and Josephine Thorne her aunt.
She was reunited in Heaven with her parents and grandparents.
Services to celebrate Theresa’s life will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Fireside Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
