Theodus Bobbie Callaway Adams' Obituary
Theodus Bobbie Callaway Adams passed away on February 25, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Memphis, TN. Mrs Adams was born on January 21, 1928, to James Rowland and Dora Ozella Crumbley Callaway in Angus, Texas. She graduated from Mildred High School in Mildred, Texas. She worked at the Corsicana Glove Factory in Coriscana, Texas in her early years but was a homemaker most of her life. She was a charter member of Kensington Baptist Church, Memphis, TN where she served for many years as the Sunday School Secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Loyd Ellard Adams; her sister Wilma Josephine Callaway and three brothers, Pierce Callaway, L.G. Callaway and Jerry Callaway. She is survived by her two sons, Brent Adams and wife, Jackie and Greg Adams and wife Robin; five grandchildren, Alayna Adams Brown and husband Clayton, Andrea Adams MacMillan and husband Marc, Ann Kathryn Adams, Andrew Adams and Austin Adams; Three great grandchildren, Landon, Payton, and Colton Brown; two sisters, Jane Callaway Rice and husband Jim and Zoe Callaway Branch and husband Byron; sisters-in-law, Betty Callaway, Norma Kay Callaway, Charlotte Callaway and Geraldine Callaway; brother-in-law, Gene Adams and wife Bea. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2 from 4 – 6 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue“Celebrating Life… Behind the Stone Wall”.
