Theodore "Ted" Hoepfner's Obituary
Theodore (Ted) Hoepfner, Sr., 93 of Somerville, TN, was called to heaven after a brief illness on March 13. Born and raised in Memphis, TN, preceded in death by wife of 57 years, Marion Davis Hoepfner; wife of 7 years, Helen Martin Hoepfner; brother Lawrence J. Hoepfner. Survived by children: Karen (John) Scott of Hernando, MS; Theodore Hoepfner Jr. (Michele) of Columbus, Ohio; Grandchildren: Kristina King (Philip); John Scott; Miriam Loesch (Tim); Kathryn Hoepfner; Great-Grandchildren: Dynah Scott, Karlynn Wax, Julia Loesch, Theodore J. Loesch; Step-Great Grandchildren Philip King; Cyerra King; Erin King and Brandon King; Great-Great-Grandchildren: Leah Patton; Anna Sunda; Ella Scott; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ted grew up in Memphis and graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 1950. After serving in the US Navy, as he was dedicated to our country, he enjoyed a long career in management at General Motors where he resided in Kansas City and Columbus Ohio, making him a lifelong Buckeye fan as well as Auburn and Arkansas. He retired in 1987 to Horsehoe Lake, AR with his wife Marion where he enjoyed boating, fishing and sunsets on his porch next to the lake.
His greatest joy was being a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great and great-great grandfather. He was an animated storyteller with a terrific sense of humor, and was a delight for family and friends to be around. His Catholic faith was deeply meaningful and was a source of strength for him, as he was a selfless volunteer for many activities.

The family Invites fiends to gather Tuesday evening from 5:00pm until 7:00pm for visitation d Rosary at Memorial Park Funeral Home 5668 Poplar Ave Memphis, TN. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday March 19, 2025, at 11:00am at St Anns Catholic Church in Bartelt.
