Thelma "Cookie" Willis' Obituary
Thelma “Cookie” Willis went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 2, 2024. She was born in Memphis April 14, 1944, and graduated from Kingsbury High School (Class of 1962) and Memphis State University. She worked for Bell South, and later served as a docent for the Memphis Zoo. She was an active member of the First Assembly of God church. She was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie Moore Green, father Edwin Alcee Green, and “sister” Laura Lynne Blaylock. She is survived by her husband Phillip Willis, her brother Robert “Buster” Green (Jeanice), her son Robert Bryeans (Tina), daughter LaDonna Reed (Ken), four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held 5:00 pm. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2024 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m., Tuesday at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
