Bonnie & Bj Hutchison
Thelma Ann started Munford High School with my wife, Bonnie Pittman and me in 1949.
We double dated with Ann and Maurice during this time. She and Maurice were our bridesmaid and best man at our wedding. We lived in the same apartment complex and purchased our first homes in the same area. We raised our families together and attended the same church. In our early years of marriage money was limited for both families. We budgeted $7.00 each week for groceries. Thelma Ann came up with a recipe for a dessert. She mixed a small can of fruit cocktail with a package of cream cheese. Every other Friday that was our dessert. One night we went to the drive-in theater in Frayser. We didn't have enough money to buy popcorn or a drink. We took a pitcher of water with us and placed it on the ground by the back door. We heard a slurping sound. Bonnie asked, "What's that noise?" A big dog was drinking our water. Thelma Ann was a life-long best friend and we loved her dearly. She was a godly lady that loved the Lord and a faithful member of Grimes Methodist Church.
We will see you later good friend!
