Thais Johnson Flowers' Obituary
Thais Johnson Flowers went on to be with The Lord on May 31, 2025, at 74 years of age. She was surrounded by her loving family when she peacefully passed on. Thais was born on September 3, 1950, in Memphis, TN to Joseph and Esther Johnson. She was the third child from their union. She was raised in the Douglass community and graduated from Douglass High School. Eager to build a life for herself she went on to marry her high school sweetheart.
Due to her kind and caring nature, she went on to pursue a career path in the healthcare industry where she cared for developmentally and intellectually disabled individuals as well as worked with families in need of in-home patient care.
Thais was known as a person with a big heart who loved The Lord and serving others. She served others unconditionally for the glory of God. After retiring from work, she even went on to care for her own mother until she passed on.
Thais was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Nothing gave her more joy than to spend time with her loved ones and to talk about The Lord. She spent her life giving more to others than to herself.
Thais is survived by her husband Larry, children Juaquin and Esther and son-in-law Ali. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters Jean, Regina, Ezma, Fern and Nita and her cherished grandchildren Joaquin, Justin, Amin, Joshua, Malec, Natalie and Khalil as well as a host of nieces, nephews, close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Esther Johnson.
Mrs. Flowers visitation will be held from Friday, June 13th, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
